"Did you have a favorite TV show as a child?"
My earliest memories of TV were of Saturday morning cartoons including Huckleberry Hound, the Pink Panther, Beanie and Cecil. Later, I remember I Love Lucy, The Wonderful World of Disney, Bonanza (big favorite), Batman and Robin, The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone .
When we were at my grandparents farm in the summer and would watch The Outer Limits; the show started with "special effects" that made the television look like the picture needed to be adjusted which was something that had to be done back then. The "horizontal or vertical hold" would look like it was out of whack but it was the introduction to the show. My grandaddy would get up every time to fix it and we would tell him every week that it would be ok in a minute, it wasn't the television. We thought it was funny that it fooled him every time. We never took into consideration that he had been working on the farm since before the sun came up and probably just wanted us all to go to bed so he could sleep!
